SUMMARY:
SOFTWARE Key Account Manager to generate IT sales and business

POSITION INFO:

Qualification

• Matric
• Computer Literate MS Office, with Advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge of MS Dynamics AX will be an advantage

Requirements

• Software Licensing experience
• Proven sales track record with a minimum of 3 years in software sales essential
• Presentation and training skills needed
• Storage, back-up and security experience will be an advantage
• Ability to work overtime on occasions as and when required

Duties

• Develop and maintain strong, loyal relationships with reseller customers and the respective vendor personnel;
• Undergo all needed training (both sales and technical) that may be required by the vendor;
• Prepares sales visits and presentations to pitch product, service and combination packages to clients;
• Demonstrates IT equipment to highlight product benefits;
• Set up and manage ‘proof of concepts’ in conjunction with the Software Services team;
• Establishes sales goals and implements a plan to meet those goals;
• Becomes fluent in all products and services offered by the employer through testing, demonstrations and research;
• Answers questions, describes feature and benefits, and discusses pros and cons of various competing products or services;
• You are expected to process and close all Software Solutions Division sales opportunities at your resellers; you will be assessed & measured on the achievement of various pre-determined objectives (revenue targets);
• Communicate product information to both reseller and end-user client customers in a clear and professional manner. This will include, but not be limited to training on product, incentives and any other related issues to the reseller base;
• Provide assistance to resellers’ sales staff whenever necessary with information, quotations and any other assistance needed;
• Timeously process and resolve customer queries;
• Prepare account / vendor reviews and reports as and when needed;
• Build relationships with Vendor Account Managers and Staff;
• Where necessary, assist with preparation of pricing quotations and proposals for resellers and work together with other members of the DCC Software team to ensure brand awareness;
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Divisional Manager;
• Employee may from time to time be required to perform duties outside the ambit of the position.
