Software Implementation Consultant required to join a company based from either Aberdeen or Glasgow.
The company
They are headquartered up in Aberdeen, however also have an office in Glasgow. The business creates a very specific type of software in the food and drink industry and are the market leader in their field. They currently have a team of 12 across the software function and are looking to add an Implementation Consultant as a brand-new hire, purely down to growth of the business.
This will be a potentially international role, with occasional travel to clients oversees. The business has a global reach and have continued to gain recognition. In large, the role will involve 50% travel to different parts of Scotland, so you can be based from anywhere in Scotland effectively.
On top of the salary, you can also expect to receive a discretionary bonus and car allowance in this role, as well as a healthy overall benefits package.
The role
As an Implementation Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering the implementation services to a host of clients. You will be involved in system changes and will be liaising between the customer and the development team. This role will be a mix of Business Analysis work (understanding and gathering requirements) as well as configuration work and looking for opportunities to upsell the product.
This is partly a pre-sales role and you will additionally be involved in sales demonstrations and presenting to clients. This role would suit an individual who has a few years'' experience in a similar position at a software company. A similar type of system may well be an ERP system or kind of database, so having this type of experience would be beneficial. This isn''t a technical role as such, but having the ability to chat to the client at a technical level is what is required. The company however realise that it will take some amount of time to learn the system and software, so there is likely to be a fairly long on-boarding process (3months+).
Role requirements
** Experience in a software delivery / consultancy / implementation / project management related role
** Requirements gathering, pre-sales and sales demonstration experience
** ERP or database knowledge would be beneficial
** Strong client facing ability
** Working within a software business (ideally)
** Technically able with a keen business and commercial awareness
** Knowledge or experience of Warehousing & Logistics (beneficial)
