POSITION INFO:
Software Engineer in Test required for a company in Aberdeen (can be remote in Scotland).
This company are at the forefront of their industry, using cutting-edge technology to create a unique product that can be utilised by almost any company in any industry!
This role is for a new workstream, focusing on the data and AI side of the business. Currently some of the wider testing have been involved in the early stages of the project, but the company are looking for a highly skilled Software Engineer in Test to come on board and take ownership of the software testing function. Your role will be to help develop a robust and maintainable system that can be adopted on a larger scale.
Again, due to the established testing team across the company; practices and processes, tools and technology are in place. However, you would be developing the automation testing framework (amongst other things!) from scratch.
You''ll be responsible for the quality of the software, as well as developing test solutions for features and APIs as well as of course analysing and reporting on results.
You''ll have experience with most of the following:
** Experience with a language like Python or Java
**Strong software testing experience including developing automation test frameworks
**Agile environment
**Jira
**Creating regression test suites
** API testing, system testing, unit testing, integration testing
** Experience in a data or AI focused environment
This company is based in Aberdeen, and is ideally looking for someone who is also Aberdeen-based but is open to someone based in Scotland, who is comfortable commuting in once a month. For those based closer to the office they would be looking for someone in three days a week in the office.
Their spacious office is based in the city centre of Aberdeen (so easily accessible) and has recently been converted and renovate to a high standard (so it''s the type of office you''d want to show off to your friends, post-COVID of course!).
The salary on offer is £40,000 - £55,000 depending on experience and the company can offer private medical insurance, shares and a discretionary bonus scheme as well as holidays and pension.
