Award winning Software House that create market leading products with an array of modern technologies are looking for a skilled JavaScript Software Engineer. They have a global footprint as they supply solutions to over 50+ countries worldwide and they aren''t stopping there. The company have been running for almost 10 years now and they have seen a dramatic increase in size on an annual basis. They are working with a really modern tech stack and looking for real tech savvy Engineers to join their team and help them push their products to the next level.
If successful you will join an established Dev team (circa 30) and will be involved in both greenfield and brownfield development projects. The company already have several key products that you will be working on, all supported with a list of modern tools (this role would have a strong focus on NodeJS).
You will ideally be a confident Software Developer with at least a couple of years commercial experience developing web applications - you''ll ideally come with good experience using NodeJS, however the company aren''t too bogged down with your primary tech language, they are more interested in Developers that can create clean quality code & pick up what is needed. To give you some context though, the main technologies used on site here are NodeJS, Typescript, ReactJS, GraphQL, MongoDB, Microservices and AWS - so experience with these technologies is highly desirable, but not a prerequisite.
You should ideally have;
** A couple years of commercial experience (ideally with NodeJS)
** Good experience with Relational Databases
** Exposure working in a product focused environment
** Knowledge / experience working in an Agile environment.
Any experience with the following is highly beneficial;
** Cloud Services (AWS or Azure)
** Microservices
** ReactJS
They are currently working 100% remotely and aren''t rushing to get back into the office anytime soon, so you would most likely be joining remotely too. Their offices are based fairly central in Glasgow - not city centre but a fairly short walk, when we go back to the "new normal" you''d be expected in the office 1-2 a month.
