Social Worker - 2 month contract

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Social Worker for a 2 month contract vacancy based in East London, Eastern Cape

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

 

• BA Degree / Diploma in Social Work / Social Science
• Proof of current professional registration with Social Service Profession
• 3+ years’ experience in HIV/AIDS & TB social work and working with HRG, inmates, sex workers and adolescent girls & young women
• Mentoring and supervisory experience as well as strong project planning ability
• Valid driver’s license and willing to travel
• Experience in GBV and human rights
• Must be available to commence duties on 1 November 2021 if successful
• Good communication skills

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Develop / plan intervention programmes including psychosocial support of high risk groups
• Establish partnerships with external resources and interact with funders / stakeholders
• Design material and modules
• In-service training & ensure adherence to legislations
• Plan that research and skills/professional developments are undertaken
• Supervision of safe space team activities
• Report writing and focus group discussions
• Individual and group psychosocial support

 

Salary:  R40 000.00 per month for the 2 month contract duration
