Snr Credit Risk Assessor

Purpose:
To manage client risk at both entity and national level by analyzing financial, debtor, and market information, identifying threats, and implementing mitigation strategies. Drive operational excellence and promote the full service offering of THE COMPANY across client portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and manage credit risk across large or complex client accounts.
• Conduct financial reviews, debtor assessments, and identify appropriate security or insurance solutions.
• Guide and support a client-focused team to deliver excellent service and risk insight.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, including executive-level engagement.
• Oversee credit insurance policies, claims, and conduct policy reviews.
• Identify and refer opportunities for THE COMPANY and strategic partner services.
• Provide regular reporting and updates via M-Files and other internal systems.
• Collaborate on legal recoveries, business rescue, and liquidation processes.
• Translate regional goals into actionable plans for your team.
• Monitor performance, coach staff, and lead continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or Business (NQF Level 7 or higher).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in credit risk or financial management.
• Experience with credit insurance and people management is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and internal systems like M-Files.
• FSCA qualification preferred.
