POSITION INFO:

Our Client, a well-established and highly prestigious South African Sugar Processing Giant is seeking to URGENTLY appoint a dynamic Skills Development Facilitator for their HRD BU based at their Durban North Head Office.

MAIN PURPOSE FOR THE ROLE:

• Report into the Learning and Development Manager.
• Be responsible for liaising between the Group SA and the SETAs on matters concerning skills development within the industry and the organization
• Facilitate the implementation of various skills programs in line with BBB-EE scorecard targets.
• Drive implementation of a quality management system for skills development practices within the organisation.     

 MINIMUM KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree / Diploma (Business / HR / Learning or equivalent),
• 3-5 years’ experience in Learning & Development
• Impressive, demonstrable track record and skills/experience gained within a similar position(s), at a similar level.
• SDF certification and registration is an added advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Compile annual WSP and ATR reports.
• Develop and implement an annual L&D plan and budget for the Group’s talent pipeline programs such as MIT’s, bursaries, in-service trainees, graduates and learnerships.
• Compile BBB-EE reports, monitors progress and advises entities on activities required to achieve annual scorecard targets.
• Design and maintain an L&D quality management system.
• Compile reports for management and other stakeholders in various L&D initiatives.
• Coordinate workplace exposure programs and mentorship for learners in the talent pipeline programs.
• Facilitate various skills development committee meetings and participates in Employment Equity committees.
• Partner with line managers to recruit learners for various skills development programs and coordinates placement in various business units.
• Participate in progress reviews and exit interviews of learners and trainees.
• Participate in SETA and industry meetings as an Company representative.
• Conduct internal audits within L&D to ensure functional excellence standards are maintained.
• Process SETA rebate claims for the discretionary grant funded projects.
• Facilitate internal training programs within own area of expertise and conducts competence assessments.
• Oversee L&D reporting and data integrity.
• Coordinate the Group’s talent pipeline development programs.
• Conduct internal & external internal reporting for compliance with the QMS and legislation.
• Promote and adhere to Company procedures, policies and guidelines.
