My clients based in Pretoria with over 4 decades of experience in the Petrochemical industry has proven themselves as one of the leading consulting engineering firms in South Africa.  They have built their business on extensive experience in project and construction management.  They have an opportunity available for an experienced Safety Officer.  The ideal candidate will have experience with construction and safety management of various sites including contractors.

Education:

• Tertiary qualification in Safety Management
• SHEMTRAC
• Legal Liability
• SHE Incident Investigation
• SACPCMP
• Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment
• ISO 45001

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 3-5 years’ experience in the construction industry.
• Ensuring the compliance with the requirements of the construction regulations, the occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Evaluate the safety management system of the principal contractors.
• Ensure that the principal contractors manage the safety of their appointed sub-contractors.
• Ensure that the principal contractors manage the safety of their appointed sub-contractors.
• Able and willing to stay and move with the construction site.
