Site Production Junior Manager

POSITION INFO:

Our Durban based client is looking for a Site Production Junior Manager to coordinate the activities in the production department to ensure successful delivery of manufactured product. The incumbent would also produce a production plan within specification and supervise and oversee the production staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Responsible to Produce manufactured product per the Production Plan.
• Plan, supervise, organise, motivate and delegate per shift to meet the production plan.
• Ensure ISO, Environmental, Health and safety procedures and work instructions are followed.
• Promote a Safe, healthy, clean and environmentally friendly work place at all times.
• Manufacture product within the specification.
• Conduct Daily meetings with staff to discuss planning and plant issues.
• Responsible to coordinate the capture of production figures for usages/yields on raw materials/finished goods on ERP system.
• Complete paperwork required on a daily basis for production records.
• Coordinate the stock take as required.
• Assist with the day to day management and training of subordinates to enhance productivity and discipline in the workplace.
• Ensure plant and equipment is in a safe and efficient working order to meet the demands of the production plan.
• Investigation and implementation of corrective and preventative actions required per incident reporting.
• Ordering of raw materials and packaging.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Matric plus 5 yrs experience in Production Supervisory/Management
• A Degree/diploma in Production/related qualification
• Strong leadership skills
• Able to instil Rigour and order into teams
• Strong written and verbal communication and numeracy skills
• Ability to lead and have good interpersonal skills
• Able to work under pressure
• Good understanding of HES related matters in similar industry
• Knowledge and understanding of stock take procedures
• Experience and proficiency in ERP systems
• Competent and proficient on Microsoft packages, including email, Word, Excel
