Site Agent - Residential Developments (Franschhoek)

A construction company, based in Franschhoek, is seeking a results-driven Site Agent to join their growing team. In this position, you will serve as the point of contact for contractors and be expected to liaise between site staff and management. You must possess strong organizational and communication skills and work proficiently both individually and in teams.

The main duties and responsibilities include:

• Communicating details and instructions to site staff.
• Communicating with the design team.
• Understanding the project program and meeting critical path dates.
• Record keeping.
• Reconciliation of materials.
• Identify key risk areas and raise concerns.
• Identify critical information and resolve queries timeously.
• Ability to cost engineer to reduce costs to within a budget
• Day-to-day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise.
• Any other duties as requested from time to time.

Requirements and qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Site Agent at a reputable company.
• Experience in residential developments.
• Technical knowledge of structures.
• Technical knowledge of architectural finishes.
• Dynamic and able to think on his feet.
