Site Agent - Eston

POSITION INFO:

Our client is looking for a Site Agent for a 1-month contract in Easton, Kwazulu-Natal. It is subject to timeous completion of the project as the project cannot continue in bad weather. 

The start date for this project will be 10/01/2022

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 
• A minimum BTech (Civil Engineering) or similar
• Fully proficient in MS Office 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

• +-5 Years’ experience as a Site Agent preferably with a
  Construction Company doing Bulk Earthworks ,
  construction of Earth dams and Concrete Reservoirs.
• Sub-contractor experience
• Working knowledge of the Health and Safety Legislation and application thereof on Site
• Knowledge of HDPE Geomembrane would be a bonus.

DUTIES:

•Planning and executive

• Read and understand the scope and duties on
  sit
• Observe specific contract condition
• Manage site resources, materials, equipment etc.
• Maintain site contract program
• Provide updates to Contract Manager regarding
  allowables on site
• Manage site, crew, sub-contractors, time, resources, materials within defined parameters
• Record additional work required by the client
• Liaise and maintain client relationships
• Report weekly on progress and costs
• Attend Site meetings
• Health and Safety
• Ensure that all contractual medicals are done
  before the commencement of the project
• Ensure that Induction has been completed where
  relevant
• Promote health and safety and ensure
  compliance to OHSA Act
• Financial
• Provide feedback on weekly costs
• Provide measurements and costing details to the Contract Manager
• Ensure that all non-budgeted costs are properly identified, classified, well documented and variations are recorded
  • Policies and procedures
• Ensure that crew adheres to all internal and external policies and procedures
  • QA / QC
• Ensure adherence to Quality Plan
• Maintain quality documentation
• Meet Aquatan standard requirements
• Meet Contract Specific requirements
