Site Agent required to be based in the Mount Frere area of Eastern Cape.

Qualification required B.Tech Construction Project Management or B.Sc Construction Management 

MS Project skills are essential

This position reports to a Contracts Manager and supervises Site Foreman and all other site based staff

Duties include:

• Contract Initiation and Implementation
• Contract Delivery and Handover
• Effective Implementation and management of the SHEQ system
• Effective control and management of all commercial issues related to the projects
• Regular interaction with clients and consultants including chairing professional meetings
• Effective programming and execution of overall construction programme
• Responsible for leading the whole construction team
• Management of site staffing and labour
• Management and Control of Sub-Contractors
• Quality control monitoring
• Co-ordinating between various trades
• Drawing information off BOQ''s and tenders to ensure that the correct work and quantities are implemented
• Assisting Directors with implementing commercial decisions in the best interest of the company
• Maintaining relationship with Architect, PQS''s, and clients for future contracts
• Assisting HR Department with managing staff resources
• Training existing and new staff to improve their skills within the company
• Mentoring staff
• Assisting with management of plant and transport logistics

Our Client is building a large commercial project in the Mount Frere area of the Eastern Cape.
