Short-Term Insurance Advisers – Port Elizabeth
POSITION INFO:
Our Short-Term Insurance client is currently looking for driven and experienced Short-Term Insurance Advisers – Personal and Commercial Lines to join their team based in Port Elizabeth
The successful candidates will be responsible for generating their own leads, building a strong sales pipeline and providing professional, advice-led insurance solutions to personal and commercial clients.
Salary: Package to be confirmed.
Essential Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Minimum of three years’ experience selling short-term insurance as a broker agent or tied agent.
- Sales experience in both personal and commercial lines.
- FAIS credits: Minimum of 30 credits in short-term insurance if the Date of First Appointment is before 2010; alternatively, a fully recognised qualification on the FSCA qualification list if appointed on or after 1 January 2010.
- FAIS Regulatory Examination for Representatives (RE5).
- Required CPD points: 12 if registered for one line of business, or 18 if registered for both personal and commercial lines.
- All required regulatory examinations and accreditation.
- Compliance with applicable FAIS fit-and-proper requirements.
- Own reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s licence.
- Computer literacy, including calendar management, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Social media presence and the ability to use social media for networking and lead generation.
- Ability to generate own leads and develop new business.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.

Key Performance Areas:- Generate sufficient leads to maintain a healthy, income-generating sales pipeline.
- Achieve a minimum of four written policies per month and agreed performance targets.
- Maintain and update the Lead Generation Matrix weekly.
- Conduct comprehensive needs analyses with prospective clients.
- Provide suitable personal and commercial short-term insurance advice.
- Build strong relationships with prospective clients and referral networks.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Momentum Insure products, changes and enhancements.
- Keep informed of competitor products and product comparisons.
- Ensure all activities comply with applicable insurance regulations, professional standards and ethical requirements.
- Maintain and develop the knowledge and skills needed to provide specialist advice.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the required dress code.
- Meet the applicable FAIS fit-and-proper requirements.
