One of SA's most recognisable  insurers is excited to welcome a technically savvy and passionate pricing actuarial specialist to join the team responsible for bringing excellence to the motor insurance industry.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job & Company Description:
The successful candidate will join a team that is pushing to apply traditional actuarial knowledge while finding innovative new ways of solving problems and delivering top tier products to the consumer base. 

Your role in the motor pricing team will be assisting the team across various modelling projects. Your main responsibility will be building and bettering pricing and other business models that limit risk, help solve business issues, and improve the end-result of customer experience.
 
Education:
  • Honours in Actuarial Science
  • Minimum of 6 core actuarial board exams completed
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have completed CA1 / A311 / A301 (Actuarial Risk Management)
Job Experience & Skills Required:
  • 1-3 years experience in short term (general) insurance non-negotiable.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with pricing experience or experience working in motor insurance.
  • Technical competency in building actuarial model non-negotiable. 
  • Working knowledge of SQL and C# highly advantageous.
