Job Position: Shipping Temp

Ref: 3715

Location: Port Elizabeth
Salary: R15 000 per month negotiable commensurate with experience and qualification  

Qualifications / Requirements:

• To start immediately until end of October 2021
• Shipping experience and understanding
• Extensive experience on computers / working on different programs and systems
• Competent on MS Excel
• Admin oriented
• Able to communicate / email queries in a concise and clear manner (good grammar / English)
• Able to work under pressure and prioritize
• Investigative skills
• Support structures to manage hours required
• Own reliable transport essential

Key Performance Areas:

• Tracking of all shipments / cargo
• Use internal system to view all cargo on the water as well as respective shipping lines tracking / websites
• Compare original planned routings and arrival dates
• Update the actual arrival dates
• Query and log major delays/ discrepancies in arrivals and routings with the respective shipping lines
• Following up and reporting
• Communicate updates to clients and the team
