POSITION INFO:
Shipping Administrator (4-Month Contract)
Department: Purchasing (Shipping and Imports)
Job Purpose:
Support ordering, coordination, and costing of imports from foreign suppliers.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- National Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Shipping/Customs Certificate
- 2–3 years'''' experience in a similar shipping/admin role
Main Responsibilities:
- Process and place approved orders with foreign suppliers
- Manage orders and shipping files using ERP and SharePoint
- Receive, validate, and file shipping documentation and invoices
- Monitor and update shipment status; follow up on deliveries
- Process clearing and forwarding documentation
- Track and update payment schedules and Forward Exchange Contracts (FEC)
- Assist with month-end procedures, reporting, and customs audits
- Calculate and document landed costs for each shipment
- Handle any shipping queries and provide admin support as needed
