Shipping Administrator

SUMMARY:
Specialist international design company in Centurion wants to employ Shipping Administrator to assist in the operations department.

POSITION INFO:

Position: Shipping Administrator

Location: Centurion

 

The successful incumbent will be responsible for:

• Actively Responding to customers or shipper’s questions or in some cases complaints in less than 24 hours
• Providing routing information and issuing shipping instructions to ensure deliveries arrive on time and to their correct location
• Tracking of goods en route to their destination ensuring any problems that may arise are resolved to avoid delays
• Responsible for the preparation of quotes for freight, which will involve examining products or materials to estimate quantities or weight of container required for storage and transport
• Liaising with Couriers and Freight forwarders to track shipments as well as to assist with any problems that may occur
• All administration from order entry, to shipping and delivering the goods to the customer
• Arranges all order and marketing related shipments and related documents
• Ensuring all orders are correctly entered into the ERP system
• Liaising with Logistics, Production and QA on the progress of the production run
• Following up with Finance and Sales with regards to Prepayments
• Setting up shipping documentation according to Clients and requirements
• Requesting Certificates from QA – Config
• Bulk packaging and preparation of goods for shipment
• Send out shipment confirmation emails to clients
• Total Shipping process (Sales, Sample Units, Trial Units, Documentation, Miscellaneous items, Engineering)
• Keeping good relationships with Freights Forwarders and Couriers
• Stock control
• Finished goods management

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma in Logistics/warehousing/shipping advantageous
• 4 years’ experience
• Required nature of applicable experience: Operations, Shipping, Stock Control & Arms Control
