Shift Plant Fitter & Turner, Lenasia, R21 000 + Allowance + Bonus

* Olifantsfontein – Fitter or Fitter and turner

* NTS4 OR T2

* Min 8 years exp in :

Good knowledge of motors and gearboxes.

Good knowledge of welding and gas cutting.

Able to work on a lathe machine.

Different Metals and Steel

Valid Code 8 Drivers License
Must have own reliable car
Able to start work at 06:00 – Day shift
Able be on standby for day shift, night shift and/or weekends.
Must have own tools

Shift position

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Be able to fault find and maintain mechanical equipment in the Fixed Plant in order to reduce downtime. To ensure that equipment is in sound condition to enable Production to work according to plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:

Maintenance: Apply planned maintenance procedures as per set standards, minimizing machine down time.
Interdepartmental Liaison: Regularly inform Manager of tasks carried out.
Liaison with Suppliers: On specific maintenance problems and spares.
Housekeeping: Must make sure that the working area is left clean and scrap parts are removed and disposed.
Safety: Maintenance tools to be used in such a manner so as not to endanger the safety of yourself and other Employees.
Quality: Be able to meet the required quality standards.
