• Trade Test Olifantsfontein – Millwright
• N4 or T2
• Min of 8 years working exp after Trade completed
• Good knowledge of motors and gearboxes.
• Good knowledge of welding and gas cutting.
• Able to work on a lathe machine.
• Achieve daily targets.
• Understand company quality standards.
• Follow Company safety standards
• Be a Team leader /Supervisor.
• Knowledge of different metals /steel.

Be able to fault find and maintain mechanical equipment in the Fixed Plant in order to reduce downtime. To ensure that equipment is in sound condition to enable Production to work according to plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:

1. Maintenance: Apply planned maintenance procedures as per set standards, minimizing machine down Assembling and installing machines then testing them to make sure they are working correctly
2. Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations
3. Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime
4. Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts
5. Dismantling older machines and replacing them with new ones
6. Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical parts
7. Using machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts
8. Good at adhering to strict safety guidelines and cognizant of safety risks
9. Mechanical aptitude in dealing with wrenches, hammers, forklifts, and other similar tools
10. Working knowledge of mechanical technical skills to allow them to effectively read documents such as specifications, machine manuals, and blueprints
11. Proficient in troubleshooting techniques to solve machine issues
12. Excellent mathematical skills and strong attention to detail
13. Ability to be a team player due to constant interactions with other employees such as Engineers, Plant Manager.
