Shaft Foreman

SUMMARY:
Our client in the mining industry, has an opportunity available for a Shaft Foreman, to be based in the Brits area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Matric/Grade 12 or Adult Senior Certificate with English literacy
• Blasting Certificate Holder issued by DMRE
• Experience in conveyor and chairlift operations
• At least 3 years'' experience as a shaft foreman
• Time management skills
• English proficiency
• Employee relations skills
• Supervisory management skills
• Computer Literate in MS Office
• Must be willing to work overtime and shifts when required

KPAs:

• Manage and supervise box controllers, conveyor belt operators, chairlift operators and trackless mobile machine operators for both underground and surface operations
• Manage a salvage yard and control room and other surface operations
• Assist in implementation of asset management strategies
• Managing of a maintenance budget
• Development of subordinates
• Implementation of engineering standard and procedures
• Adherence to Mine Health and Safety Act Regulations
