Sewing Machine Technician required to join global leader in portable branding solutions.

POSITION INFO:

Job description

• The sewing machine technician is responsible for conducting sewing machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and performing preventive maintenance.
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs schedule maintenance repairs.
• Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair of sewing/production machines.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work order to preform required maintenance and service.
• Complies with health and safety rules.
• Performs other related duties as required and or as assigned.

Requirements

• Matric and relevant qualifications/ or years of experience
• In depth knowledge of needle and spares.
• Able to work in a pressurised environment.
• Punctual and regular to work.
• Able to work as a team player.
• Must be able to repair Durkopp and Juki machines together with all other machine floor functions as required
