We're recruiting on behalf of a Cape Town-based client looking for a hands-on and experienced Setter with toolmaking experience, or a mechanically skilled Fitter and Turner with a willingness to learn. Job & Company Description:
As a Setter/Toolmaker, you'll be responsible for setting up hydraulic presses, eccentric presses, and press brakes, ensuring accurate tooling and die setup, assisting with tool maintenance, and working closely with production and tooling teams to minimize downtime and boost operational efficiency.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Proven experience as a Setter with toolmaking expertise (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently
We Will Also Consider:
- Qualified Fitter and Turner with strong mechanical aptitude
- Willingness to learn press setup through hands-on training
