JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client in the Manufacturing Industry has a position available for a Service Technician based in Midrand.

Contract to perm role.

Awesome career opportunity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide Technical Support to customers onsite and telephonically.
Keep up to date with Homag Technology of installed base in South Africa.
Problem Evaluation on specific applications where Homag equipment is used.
Attend to breakdowns or commissioning onsite as and when required.
Report to the client in writing and keep a proper record of repair and returns.
Prepare and submit warranty claims.
Keep a record of all warranty claims.
Internal sales technical support.
Assist with customer quotes when required.
Ability to travel away from home, after hours, and cross border support.
Assist with spare stock control and warehousing.
Administration of the service centre.
Maintain ISO requirements.
Ad hoc duties as required by the Manager.

Requirements:

Matric/Grade 12.
A qualified Electrician or Technician with N3 or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of three years’ experience in Control Systems.
Control Systems Electronics and/or Pneumatics experience.
Computer Literacy – MS Office.
Excellent people skills and written communication skills.
