Service Technician

SUMMARY:
Travel around JHB and Internationally working for one of the industry leaders in the Automated Packaging Systems where you will be responsible for Pneumatic and PLC faultfinding and repairing their machines for various FMCG Customers.

POSITION INFO:

Faultfinding and repairs on packaging machines including electrical PLC and pneumatic faultfinding

Installation and commissioning of company machines at client’s facilities

Servicing and re-building automated machines including conveyor builds and automated packaging systems

Attending to breakdowns and problem solving

Maintain relevant safety standards

Excellent customer service

Quality control and assurance

Technical support to customers

Customer training and assessment of machines

Coordinate and manage projects to ensure on time delivery

Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 3 years servicing and attending to breakdowns of machines in a Food Production or FMCG environment

Experience in liquid packaging industry (Preferred)

Pneumatic and electrical faultfinding knowledge

Excellent people skills and customer service orientation

Must be able to travel nationally and internationally on short notice with a valid Code B driver’s license

Reliable, responsible and trustworthy individual with a track record of being honorable and loyal

Advanced Food Industry Safety Standards (Advantageous)

Qualification:

Qualified Trade Tested Millwright/ Fitter and Turner with extensive electrical experience

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
