Senior Web Developer

SUMMARY:
Play a key role in ensuring a modern-day, ahead of the curve, technological customer experience. In doing so, collaborating and translating business briefs into code on the website, store platforms and other technological platforms within our business.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:
- Enhance technological components such as the retail website, in-store experience, ERP through writing code, following a business brief and team discussion.
- Ensure seamless operation of Stores on the POS, the transactional website and other key systems, especially LS Central, from a technological point of view.
- Creating, extending and maintaining modules, data actions and themes using the Dynamics 365 Commerce online extensibility SDK.
- Troubleshoot (technical and complex) issues, identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements. Thereafter, recommend and implement appropriate solutions (within budget guidelines) for systems improvements, stability and reliability
- Identify, collaborate with the business team to implement technological enhancements, controls and measures that ensure the efficient running of IT systems in alignment with governance and compliance, best practice and the latest technologies.
- Where needed, collaborate with 3rd party vendors, working closely with internal stakeholders, key role players and appropriate business owners.
- Design, code, test, debug, deploy and document software, according to functional requirements.
- Participate in peer reviews with independent verification and validation, testing of code and perform system and code analysis reviews making documented recommendations to other developers (within team or from a IT business partner) using best practices.
- When writing code, for it to be well documenting. Ensuring future understanding by fellow developers as the team grows.

- Stay abreast of industry standards, system upgrades, development tools, participating in educational opportunities as well as sharing skills and best practice with team members to ensure continual growth of the team from a technical and systems view.
Requirements:
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or similar experience.
- Minimum 5 years'' experience with various web technologies and tools including of HTML5, JavaScript, .NET. In addition, specific abilities in CSS/SCSS React and Node.js. TypeScript (angular) is a plus.
- Experience with web development on the Microsoft technology stack.
- Experience with the full software development life cycle including design, development, testing, deployment, documentation and support. Here, a sound and logical mind, being able to follow the logic of a process is key.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- A keen eye for good user interface design.
