Senior or Lead Test Engineer for a company in Edinburgh (remote in the UK) to help develop the testing function.
The company are a steadily growing organisation who offer a fairly unique marketing technology product used by major brands globally, with more massive clients (both in name and size) on the horizon!
This is a pivotal moment to get involved, with the opportunity to have massive impact as the company grows with a technical team that values software testing. You'll be joining as the more Senior Test Engineer, mentoring and guiding the existing Test Engineer in the team.
On top of this, you'll be focused on developing, refining and improving the overall testing function, strategy and processes, with a focus on automation testing. The company have identified JavaScript and Cypress for automation testing - ideally you'd have a bit of experience in this area, but they are more concerned that you have a strong level of automation testing experience in general.
You'll be the champion for the software testing function, and have autonomy (within reason!) to develop the function as you see fit, pulling from your past experiences.
You'll have most of the following skills/experience:
**Experience as a solo Tester, or in a Senior role
**Web-based applications
**Automation testing, ideally Cypress
**Regression testing
**API testing - Postman
**Experience developing a testing function, whether developing strategy, or improving processes etc.
You'll be able to work remotely (as long as you are based in the UK), and ideally will be able to come in once a month/once every two months. The salary on offer for this role is up to £50,000 and the benefits include a 12% combined pension, a bonus scheme, 30 days holidays (plus buy and sell options) and strong personal development opportunities (they can also finance specific qualifications).
