Senior Technical Sales Rep

Our client is looking for an experienced senior technical sales rep to be based in the Secunda area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Promote the relevant products and demonstrate clearly how the products are in conjunction with the clients needs;
• Maintain a good understanding of the market, competitor offerings, general intelligence and identifying new opportunities;
• Ensuring sales target are consistently met;
• Support client with technical advice;
• Identify and resolve client concerns; recommending a course of action to alleviate these concerns in the future;

CLIENT PRODUCT CRITERIA:

• Portable gas detectors;
• Fixed gas detectors;
• Alcohol and drug testing detectors;
• Alcohol ignition interlock;
• Respiratory protection;
• Hazmat suits;
• Head and eye protection;
• Rescue and escape products;
• Thermal imaging cameras;
• Diving equipment;
• Fire simulation systems and training galleries;

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong technical skills;
• Research and analytical skills;
• Organizational skills;
• Communication skills, including the ability to explain clearly and listen to the feedback of clients;
• The ability to negotiate with and influence others;
• Previous experience selling to Sasol or working with Sasol as a client a must;
• Self driven and motivated individual;
• A proven track record in sales and support;

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Technical or trade qualification;
• Sales related qualification;
• 5-10 years experience;
• Sasol PPE sales experience will be advantageous;
