Senior Software Tester

We are on the lookout for a seasoned  software QA tester / professional - As a software tester, you would be responsible for ensuring that our client is developing reliable, high quality software. You will have the opportunity to work closely with developers as they believe testing is a crucial part of their lifecycle and they involve testing from the beginning..

You will meet the following requirements:

• Degree in Information Systems / Information Technology.
• 3 -5 years of relevant QA technical experience.
• 3 – 5 years large enterprise or e-business systems experience.
• Expertise in database testing in Microsoft SQL Server environments including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored processes, jobs, triggers and replication.
• ERP system knowledge (Preferred)
• ISTQB Foundation Level (Must)
• ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst (Preferred)

Your key responsibilities will include:

Development and design of tests

• Design test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules or potential problems
• Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests or usability

Identification and tracking of test errors

• Document software defects and report defects to Software Developers
• Identify, analyse and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content
• Create or maintain databases of known test defects

Execution of tests

• Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
• Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
• Produce test packs for audit and compliance
• Execute demos of the new system or application
• Obtaining UAT signoff
