Senior Test Engineer required for a company in Aberdeen.
This company are looking for a Senior Software Tester (manual and automation) with some solid testing experience behind them to join the team.
The company''s innovative, market-leading product can be utilised across pretty much any industry (within reason!), and the potential uses and applications for it is unlimited. With some long-term growth plans, now is a great time to join their testing team. Their testing team is pretty well-developed as well, and the technical leads are huge advocates of software testing and how important is in the software development lifecycle - which means your input and work is valued!
You''ll be a Senior Test Analyst looking after a small team of Testers. Ideally you will have a decent understanding of automation testing (creating automation test scripts from scratch) to be able to coach and mentor the Testers about everyday testing queries, and help develop the regression testing.
Although there is an element of leadership involved (and there is a Test Lead and Manager above you), as well as helping to identify the testing strategy, this will be a very hands-on position too. Another key aspect of this role is being passionate around identifying where the testing process can be improved and then implementing this. You''ll have a lot of autonomy to carry this out and the company are dedicated to supporting you in this as they want to make sure they have relevant and modern testing processes in place.
You will most likely have the following skills and experience:
** Experience within an Agile environment
** Manual and automation testing experience (Robot, Selenium, etc.)
** Experience with non-functional testing like performance, load and stress testing (would be a bonus!)
** Continuous integration environment
** Experience leading/coaching Test Analysts
** Passionate about developing test improvements
Right now, they are working remotely, but are looking for people local to Aberdeen who can be office-based when this is possible. They have recently acquired new premises that are stunning (definitely offices to show off to friends when COVID allows!), and are based in the centre of Aberdeen so are easily accessible.
The salary on offer is competitive, offering up to £55,000 for the right person, with a strong benefits package, with perks like private medical insurance.
