Software Test Engineer and Senior Software Test Engineer required for a growing testing team in Motherwell doing really cool stuff.
POSITION INFO:
Senior Software Test Engineer (full-time, permanent) and Software Test Engineer (full-time, 12-month fixed term contract) needed for a tech company in Motherwell.
The company are currently scaling their team and have been growing rapidly for the past few years and have just landed a huge contract as they continue to tackle very relevant and current problems faced worldwide.
Based in a growing testing team, the company are looking for a Senior/Software QA Engineer to come on board. You''ll be a hands-on Tester, but keen to offer mentoring and coaching to the more Junior Testers, as well as training up new team members.
Personality-wise, you''ll be someone who really enjoys looking at problems, as well as being switched on and open to new ideas (as well as offering new ideas!). Day to day you will be testing both desktop and web-based applications and firmware/hardware if you have any experience/interest in doing so.
There is no shortage of projects to get involved in from the very early stages which include - bringing its testing back in-house (the company are currently working with a 3rd party provider, based onsite), developing their automation strategy and iterating their current product, which will include the introduction of a range of new cutting-edge tech (so a great chance to learn new things!).
You''ll have experience with most of the following:
**Agile Scrum environment
** Writing reports on findings (v. important!)
** Requirements analysis
** Strong manual testing experience - particularly in exploratory testing
** Automation testing (essential) - ideally with Python, BDD or Cypress
** Source code systems such as Git
The company have a salary range of around £40,000 - 48,000. Right now, they offer remote working, but are keen for people to be back in the office when it is safe to do so.
The benefits package includes 32 days holiday (including 8 public holidays, but only 3 of which are fixed) and a 6% employer pension contribution.
Free on-site parking is also available (driving is the easiest mode of transport to get to them).
