Senior Risk Control Practitioner

POSITION INFO:

Key responsibilities will include:

• Reduce number of injuries and promote safety awareness
• Attend departmental safety meetings
• Maintain SHE Systems  
• Conduct SHE audits and investigation of Incidents and accidents 
• Review occupational and safety risks  
• Ensure that personnel attend safety induction training  
• Maintain adherence to environment legal requirements, occupational health and emergency preparedness  
• PPE Quality Control 
• Legal Compliance  
• Adhoc SHE Projects   
• Mentor and coach across the business
• Monitor outstanding SHE actions / electronic system              

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

• National Diploma in Safety Management (NADSAM)
• 3 years’ working experience as a Safety / Risk Officer
• Knowledge of the OHS Act/COIDA and ISO 14001
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications
• Good communication skills needed as they will interact with management and employees
• Physical fitness will be required
