Senior Research & Development Manager/NPD Development - Boland Region – Market Related

(Developing and Launching FMCG Food Products in CPG/Foodservice)

The Manager of Research and Development will bring focus to innovation, new product development, and sustaining processing initiatives to improve the Quality, Delivery and Cost, and sustainable competitive position of the product portfolio. The R&D Manager will lead, manage and direct development and quality assurance activities to support our existing and new business opportunities in, local and international markets, including development and evaluation of new product lines.  The R&D Manager will collaborate with operations, manufacturing, and marketing on initiatives while managing daily tasks to ensure deadlines and objectives are met. This job description is not exhaustive.

MSc or PhD in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.
At least 10+ years in the food industry developing and demonstrated track record in successfully developing and launching FMCG food products in CPG/Foodservice
Strong knowledge of R&D processes and organization in FMCG
Extensive knowledge of technical applications and manufacturing implications, methods and requirements.

Managing Work: Managing work to achieve results on time. Understanding and supporting the organization’s vision, purpose and strategies.
