Senior Finance PMO required for a globally known organisation, headquartered in Glasgow.
The company and role:
They are a global, world-renowned business and are based out of Glasgow. They have been on a Digital Transformation for around 2 years now and Covid has changed the way the business has to operate (for the better).
This role is open to someone who either wants to visit the office occasionally, or can also be fully remote. The business operates very well remotely and its presence is felt throughout the world.
The position has opened up due to someone emigrating and this is a key role in a team that supports the Digital Transformation piece. This role will require an experienced PMO who has depth skill in working with large amounts of financial information to provide succinct analysis, spotting, and communicating trending information. You will need to be comfortable presenting information to senior stakeholders and ideally have project accounting experience, working in a portfolio/PMO environment. Also, in depth understanding of financial and budget management as it applies to a project, programme, and portfolio of change, would be a huge bonus.
Role Responsibilities:
** Collect and maintain accurate records, management information, and indicators regarding project/programme/portfolio financial performance
** Manage costs; ensuring that financial systems are accurate and up to date
** Undertake In-flight Project/ Programme Financial Reviews
** Create finance reports with commentary on variance analysis, risks, and opportunities
** Assess pipeline projects and assist with financial estimates
Key Skills and Experience:
** Excellent understanding of the role of PMO within a project/programme/portfolio environment
** Project accounting experience, ideally working in a Portfolio/PMO role
** In depth skill in working with large amounts of financial information to provide succinct analysis, spotting, and communicating trending information
** In depth skill and understanding of financial and budget management as it applies to a project, programme, and portfolio of change
