POSITION INFO:

Top IT Services Consultancy in Durban is looking for a Mid – Senior level Network Engineer to work on various projects. Please DO NOT apply if your CCNA is not current or if you don’t meet all the criteria below.

Responsibilities:

• You will attend to SLA calls, faults, monitoring & reporting.
• You will take responsibility for technical problems and report via a call logging system
• You will be a part of the Project team to assist with new projects & installations.
• Must be able to configure and support HPE Networks.
• Must be able to configure and support Cisco Networks.
• Must be able to configure and support Firewalls.
• Complete network designs and diagrams.
• Be responsible for completing the necessary requirements to remain skilled and trained while under employment

Education/ Experience:

• Matric or Grade 12 Essential
• Minimum 4 Years’ experience as a Network Engineer –

Key certifications:

• CCNA (Mandatory)
• CCNP (Advantageous)
• HPE Networking (Advantageous)

• Fortigate NSE4 (Advantageous)
• Sophos Certified (Advantageous)
• CCNA Security (Advantageous)

Minimum Requirements:

• Excellent written and spoken English language skills
• Ability to be proactive and take initiative without direct supervision
• Expertise in anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls and content filtering
• Expertise in designing secure networks, systems and application architectures
• Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies and methods
• In depth knowledge & troubleshooting skills of mature networks (LAN/WAN/VoIP) 
• Drivers’ License required with own vehicle, there will be travel involved, fuel card or fuel claim back.
• BEE Preferred but neg.
