JOB DESCRIPTION:

Senior National Accountant for Head Office R40000 - R53500, R2000 towards Medical Aid + Provident Fund / East Rand

Experienced, Senior Accountant required, must have a degree in Accounting, minimum of 5 years in a similar role, member of a professional body, working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP, strong financial analysis skills, strong communication skills, both written & verbal, proficient in MS Office, specifically with Excel, as well as Automate Evolve or Automate, able to train and manage staff and the ability to work with little supervision. Coordinate accounting functions and programs, prepare financial analysis and reports, prepare consolidated financial reports from different branches and subsidiaries, assist with preparing and monitoring budgets, maintain and reconcile balance sheets and general ledger accounts, assist with annual audit preparations, investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance, prepare tax returns, contributEto the development of new and amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
