Senior Maintenance Technician (Millwright) – ATLANTIS, Western Cape

R30 000 – R35 000 Per Month (including Company Benefits) depending on Qualification and Years of relevant experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attend to breakdowns in analytical and timeously way to avoid downtime, record accurate information which can be used for future analysis. Performance necessary audit/verification of equipment after breakdowns
• Ability to work independently and under pressure with a sense of urgency.
• Work on permanent preventative solutions for on-going equipment issues, ensure that all times that spares with associated costs are recorded accurately
• Maintain production support for the assembly lines and provide technical operational training on all equipment when required.
• Do preventative maintenance on the equipment as per the SAP together with the addition/feedback on items to be added to the system.
• Develop a predictive system with inputs from breakdowns, equipment manuals and through communication with your colleagues.
• Have a technical understanding of pneumatic, electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Ensure all equipment diagrams are available, legible, and up to date.
• Be able to do PLC fault finding and monitoring in Siemens TIA
• Attend to Provide technical input to maximize the Operations Excellence programmes and CIP (Continuous Improvement Plan).
• Stay up to date on the research of the latest technology, application, and design of equipment machines
• Liaise with suppliers and engineers on potential design changes or improvements
• Prepared to work standby, callouts, overtime and additional shifts when required. Prepared to work on a different shift system as per the business requirements
• Ability to work as part of a production/maintenance team.
• Time keeping and punctuality with attention to detail is essential. Physically fit and able to do physical work.
• Should be available for standby and callouts as stipulated in the documented Company Policy

REQUIREMENTS:  

• Qualified Red Seal Millwright or equivalent
• National Diploma / Degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering
• 5 Years’ experience as a qualified Maintenance Technician within the automotive parts / components / industrial or manufacturing / engineering industry
• Formal training in CAD (AutoCAD, Solidworks, other)
• Basic Siemens PLC knowledge is essential!
• Knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Electrical systems
• Proficiency in MS office i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Notes
• Problem/fault finding skills in electro-mechanical systems
• Read and understand electrical schematics
• Hand Tools Proficiency
• Oral & Written Skills for Management Feedback and Reporting
• Able to work extended work hours when required
• Own reliable transport and valid driver’s license
