Senior Litigation Associate

SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established Western Cape law firm with a long-standing heritage and a strong litigation reputation, is seeking a Senior Associate to join their Litigation and Commercial Department in Cape Town.

You’ll co-manage a busy commercial and litigation department handling matters across commercial litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and insolvency — supported by an experienced, close-knit team.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee a portfolio of litigation and commercial matters
• Lead and mentor junior attorneys and candidate attorneys
• Handle matters involving ADR, insolvency, and commercial disputes
• Collaborate with directors on case strategy and client relationship management

• LLB degree and admission as an attorney
• Minimum 5 years’ post-admission experience in litigation and commercial work
• Proven experience in ADR and insolvency
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and client communication skills
• Confident, proactive, and capable of handling multiple matters independently
