• A completed Doctorate in Journalism/Media Studies or in an associated field 
• At list 5+ years of University teaching experience 
• Candidates must demonstrate scholarship of teaching and must have produced/ published accredited preceding three years three research output
• Some evidence of success in obtaining funding for resech
• Successful supervision of at least one postgraduate at Master''s level
