A Swiss based Banking Group is looking for a Senior  Internal Auditor based in Johannesburg.

The successful Senior Internal Auditor  will be responsible for:

• Perform Compliance Audits, Exchange control, and Financial control assessments.
• Perform and manage internal audits required 
• This will include reviewing records, reports, software, and any other relevant programs and activities affected by regulations.
• To make recommended changes to procedures or practices that are not in compliance with stated regulations.
• Keeping track of any violations reported against the Bank and responses and plans regarding these violations.
• Conducting an analysis of existing compliance records and making any necessary updates would also fall under this category.
• Understanding operations and practices within the Bank
• Using software when performing such duties as data analysis (Excel)
• Performing a risk assessment to gauge the possible risk of Compliance function activities and the Exchange control function

Qualifications:

• Matric
• BCom Accounting / Honours Internal Audit
• Studying towards CIA would be beneficial

Experience:

• 4 / 6 years internal audit professional experience OR Completed SAICA Articles and 3 Years internal audit professional experience
• Must have exposure Industry Knowledge - Understanding of: SARB Exchange control regulations. Regulatory Compliance - FICA, Anti-money laundering, GO- AML reporting, FIC STR / STA reporting, Compliance transaction screening processes
• Banks Act and regulations
• Understanding of Control framework, Operational risk management & compliance frameworks
• Banking compliance audits & Exchange control reviews
• Exposure to systems/ procedures and control relating to Anti Money laundering and Foreign Exchange Control.
