Senior Installation Engineer

SUMMARY:
Position: Senior Installation Engineer
Location: Illovo

A leading telecoms company are looking for a Senior Installations/Provisioning Engineer to join their dynamic team.  You will need to have solid network installations experience, ideally within an ISP, strong routing, switching and security (Fortigate). They are an employer of choice who have a close and collaborative team and a family type of environment where they look after their staff I.E. supply meals at the office.  There is lots of opportunity for growth and development too!

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications and Requirements (desired but not compulsory):

• Cisco Certified : CCNA, CCNP Routing and Switching
• Juniper Certified : JNCIA, JNCIS-ENT/SP
• Fortinet Certified: NSE 4, NSE 5
• Microsoft Teams: MS-100, MS-700 and MS-740
• Valid SA Drivers’ License and Own Vehicle (Required)

• 3-5 Years ISP experience in Networking, VoIP and Security
• Understanding of L2 and L3 technologies and protocols
• Understanding of VoIP technologies
• Understanding of Service Provider and Enterprise level architecture
• Experience working with Cisco, Juniper and Mikrotik routers and switches
• Experience with Fortinet security appliances, UTM, SSL VPN and IPSEC
• Experience with BGP, MPLS, SD-WAN,QOS and Hosting
• APN experience will be advantageous
• Microsoft Teams will be advantageous

• Configuring and deploying routers and switches in an enterprise network environment
• Configuring and deploying VoIP Solutions
• Working knowledge and ability to troubleshoot Routing and Switching, Hosting and Security services
• Working knowledge and ability to troubleshoot Voice related problems (SIP and MS Teams)
• Configuring and deploying SD-WAN solutions
• Python scripting skills will be advantageous
• Attention to Detail and Quality of work
• Documentation and Administration
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with time constraints
• Team Orientated
• Ability to teach and be taught
• Ability to take ownership of projects with minimal supervision
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to mentor junior staff members
