POSITION: Inside Sales Representative – Cloud Backup Solutions

LOCATION: Gauteng (Remote / Work from home)

SALARY: Market related - based on experience

We’re seeking a qualified Inside Sales representative to help us sell our established Data Management Solution and Services that our customers have grown to rely on. The candidate must be a self-motivated target-driven hunter with a strong understanding of the sales process, excelling at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with strong negotiating skills, and the ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. Often tasked with giving presentations, attending networking events, and attending trade shows, it’s essential that our sales rep be personable and professional.

  • Represent our company’s products and services.
  • Must have experience selling cloud backup Software such as Commvault, Veeam or Veritas as this is a minimum requirement for this position.
  • Meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Generate own leads and build relationships.
  • Planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales prospects.
  • Develop and implement territory action plan through comprehensive data analysis, and adjust sales techniques based on interactions and results in the field.

Minimum Requirements:

  • NQF Level 4 qualification
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in inside sales within cloud data backup technology solutions and services - Commvault/Veritas/Veeam/Azure or similar product sales experience essential.
  • Able to generate own leads – must be able to use social media to create leads
  • Cold calling track record with proven ability to meet sales targets
  • Secure work-from-home environment for remote working
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office use (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and sales management/CRM software
  • Valid SA ID
  • Valid SA Driver’s license and own reliable transport
  • Clear criminal background (checks will be conducted)

Responsibilities:

As an Inside sales professional, you''''ll need to:

  • Carry out cold-calling in order to create interest in products and services
  • Generate new business leads and arrange meetings
  • Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects
  • Speak to customers, either face to face or over the phone.
  • Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycles to close new business in all service categories offered.
  • Identify and develop new business through networking and follow-up courtesy calls.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and demonstrations of software to customers.
  • Maintain awareness and keep abreast of constantly changing software and hardware systems and technologies applicable to data management and cloud backup.
  • Develop effective sales plans using our proven sales methodology.
  • Meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Network with existing customers in order to maintain links and promote additional products and upgrades (upsell).
  • Respond to tender documents, proposals, reports and supporting literature.
  • Manage workload in order to organise and prioritise daily and weekly goals.
  • Contribute to team or progress meetings to update and inform colleagues.
  • Communicate customer and prospect product pain points to appropriate departments
  • Proficiency with sales management software and CRM as well as Microsoft Office to be able to track all sales activities in the company CRM system and keep current by updating account information regularly.

Working hours

  • Working hours are typically 8am to 5pm, putting in extra hours where approaching deadlines require them.
  • You might be required to work longer days to prepare for social evenings and conferences, where you''''ll network with potential customers. You will also be required to have access to a secure work-from-home environment for remote working (this position is not office based).
