Post Graduate Qualification in IT

5-7 years experience in IT environment

Duties

Provide Systems and Infrastructure related Consulting Services to the Organization.

 Participate in technical research and development to enable continuous innovation of the ICT systems and infrastructure. Research and recommendation of new systems innovation and where possible the proposal of automated approaches for system administration tasks.

Contribution to and maintenance of system standards.

Execution of periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.

Performance of on-going configuration, hardware upgrades and resource optimization as required.

Provision of operation services and support.

 Implementation and monitoring, reviewing of systems, policies and procedures.

Installation and configuration of new or rebuilt hardware peripherals, services, directories and storage in accordance with set standards.

Performance of daily systems monitoring, verification of the integrity and availability of all hardware, services, resources, systems and key processes.

Recommended, schedule  and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, updates, etc.

Performance of capacity management for datacentre.

Performance of regular network and server performance monitoring including security monitoring to identify possible vulnerabilities.

Performance of daily backup operations, ensuring all system data is successfully backed up to the appropriate systems, and replicated to the Disaster Recovery site.

Performance of regular file archival and purging (dumping) of data as necessary.

Provision of other systems support to users.

Development of Systems, Policies and Procedures.

 Development of ICT security policies.

Development of backup policies.

Development of disaster recovery procedures.

 Development of network and systems access control policy and procedures.

Development of user account management policy and procedures.

Reviewing of all the above policies and procedures.
