Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Technician to lead the diagnostics, servicing, and repair of our high-voltage electric vehicle fleet. This is a critical role focused on maintaining vehicle uptime, ensuring technical excellence, and supporting our growing dealership and rental network. Location: Pretoria
Salary: R30 000 – R40 000 per month
Requirement: Must have own transportation & a valid Driver’s License
Key Responsibilities (KPIs)
High Voltage & Technical Work
- Perform complex diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on electric vehicles.
- Conduct high-voltage system inspections, testing, and fault finding.
- Handle electrical and electronic troubleshooting (batteries, inverters, and drivetrains).
- Manage software updates and critical system calibrations.
Technical Operations
- Oversee service planning and workshop job scheduling.
- Manage technical reporting, documentation, and OEM warranty claims.
- Control parts stock, inventory management, and ordering.
Leadership & Process Improvement
- Supervise and mentor workshop staff and junior technicians.
- Implement and improve service standards and workshop processes.
- Support the setup of new dealership and service network locations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of workshop experience (Non-negotiable).
- Qualifications: Qualified Automotive Technician with High Voltage / EV Certification.
- Skills: Expert diagnostic and fault-finding abilities using modern software and tools.
- Competencies: Process-driven, organised, and able to work independently with high attention to detail.
- Tech Savvy: Basic computer skills required for reporting and diagnostics.
