Senior HR Officer

SUMMARY:
The successful Senior H.R. Officer will report to the National H.R. Manager.

POSITION INFO:

Purpose of the Job:

The successful Senior H.R. Officer will report to the National H.R. Manager. The Senior H.R. Officer will be responsible for providing effective H.R. support within the Gauteng Branch.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Enforce the Company’s ‘Code of Conduct’
• Responsible for the full Recruitment and Selection Process
• Conduct Exit Interviews
• Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications
• Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards
• Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media etc
• Screen candidate job applications for potential employment
• Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule
• Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes
• Onboard new employees in order to become fully integrated
• Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices
• Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
• Populate Recruitment Stats onto National Recruitment Tracking Tool
• Assist with capturing and Processing of all Injuries on Duties, Provident Fund Claims, Funeral Claims, Death Claims, Disability, Retirement and Provident Fund Withdrawal Claims etc.
• Assist with stringent follow ups via Employees/Op’s Teams/Hospitals/Funds/Department of Labour on all Injuries on Duties, Provident Fund Claims, Funeral Claims, Death Claims, Disability, Retirement and Provident Fund Withdrawal Claims etc.
• Assist with scheduling of Disciplinary Enquiries
• Submission of weekly and monthly statistics to National H.R. Manager
• Supportive advice to the Op’s Team pertaining to HR-related issues

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric Certified
• 3-5 years of direct H.R./ Recruitment experience in the Security/Cleaning/Parking Industry

• Relevant Degree/ Diploma will be advantageous
• Solid Computer Proficiency

• Full practical experience with regards to all Claims
• Solid knowledge of current Legislation: L.RA./BCEA/EEA/SD6, etc.
