Senior Financial Accountant

SUMMARY:
Our JSE listed client in the Construction and Material industry is in the market for a Senior Financial Accountant with great leadership abilities. The incumbent MUST have over 5 years’ experience in relevant industries. Please see the performance area criteria below for a more detailed description of the required responsibilities.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

• B. Com Accounting degree or equivalent qualification (Articles advantageous).
• 5-10 years’ experience.
• Experience in ERP systems, preferably Accpac.
• Keen problem solver.

Performance Areas (Responsibilities):

• Budgets and forecasting.
• Cashflow management.
• Review and release of daily EFT payments.
• Continuous monitoring & making improvements to systems, internal controls & procedures
• Manage, coach & mentoring of accounting team employees.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors.
• Responsible for full tax compliance of the company.
• Manage the month-end process and finalise the month-end accounts.
• Management meeting preparation.
• General Ledger Reconciliations.
• Preparing of Annual Financial Statements.
• Assist and oversee all finance departments.
• Assist and oversee procurement department.
• Various reporting responsibilities.
• BEE rating.
• Insurance claims.
• Payroll deductions.
