The role reports to the Group Finance Manager and has Financial Accountants and Bookkeepers reporting into the successful incumbent.

A reputable concern allowing its customers to move money around the world is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join their young, dynamic, and fun finance team. The role reports to the Group Finance Manager and has Financial Accountants and Bookkeepers reporting into the successful incumbent.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for producing accurate financial statements and managing the financial accountants and bookkeepers. The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for reviewing the monthly VAT, provisional tax, and income tax returns as well the month-end journals. The successful candidate will also be responsible for reviewing Profit and Loss and liaising with the stakeholders and auditors as well as ensuring the accurate balancing of all relevant reconciliations monthly.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• CA (SA)/Completed CIMA

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• At least 3-5 years’ post article experience
• Experience working in a multinational organization is preferred
• Working knowledge of Xero/NetSuite/Caseware
• Working knowledge of tax and VAT legislation
• Working knowledge of FOREX regulations
• Experience in drafting annual financial statements
• Knowledge of SA accounting practices and IFRS
• Attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills
