A growing concern in the franchise/restaurant industry is looking for an energetic and dynamic finance professional to join their team as a Senior Financial Accountant.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial accounting of transactions and the reporting thereof. Senior Financial Accountant will also be responsible for processing general ledger journals, reconciling balance sheet accounts, updating the asset register monthly and reconciling VAT to general ledger. The Senior Financial Accountant will be involved in tax and be responsible for managing a team.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• BCom Honors in Accounting
• Completed SAICA articles

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• Experience in the retail/wholesale/franchise industries is preferred
• Sound financial acumen
• Performance and results driven
• Experience in tax is preferred
• Preference for working in a collaborative environment is preferred
• Experience with the full finance function e.g. debtors, creditors, general ledger etc.
• Experience in managing a team is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
