Senior Financial Accountant

SUMMARY:
Our client based in the East of Johannesburg is currently seeking a dynamic Senior Financial Accountant to join their Team

POSITION INFO:

Our practice requires someone who is a self-starter, who can work independently and deliver the best results. To be able to oversee and perform the statutory and management reporting function of our client which is a group of companies – this includes approximately 20 legal entities, monthly. This will entail overseeing the functions of Cash Book, Payroll processing, VAT, CIPC, AFS, Income Tax, internal control etc.

Qualifications

• BCom (Essential)
• Professional Accountant (SAIPA) or equivalent

Experience

• 5-10 years’ experience
• External Audit experience (essential)
• Independent Reviews
• SARS audits including dispute resolution (essential)
• Management of staff members
• Returns to CIPC and other Company secretarial requirements
• Registrations and deregistration’s with CIPC and SARS

Skills

• Draftworx (essential) – AFS, Management Accounts and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
• Sage One
• Tax Calculations – VAT, Income Tax, Provisional Tax, Dividend’s tax
• Filing tax returns VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, Provisional tax, Dividend’s tax – on e-filing (essential)
• Add value to client.
• Analyze and interpret management accounts – Financial analyst (essential)
• Good people skills (must also be assertive)
• Excellent problem-solving skills
