SUMMARY:
This is a broad, hands-on role within an established and successful food production, processing and distribution business. It suits someone who enjoys understanding how a business actually works, not just reporting on the results afterwards.

POSITION INFO:

Please Note: The position is split 3 days per week in Krugersdorp and 2 days in Pretoria East.
(Krugersdorp and/Pretoria only positions are available, but will be more junior roles for someone with slightly less post-articles experience. Specification/s available on request)

Duties / Key Responsibilities

Manage monthly financial reporting, management accounts and performance analysis.
Oversee cash flow, budgeting, payments, balance sheet and income statement controls.
Manage inventory processes, stock takes, valuations and stock variances.
Analyse production gains and losses, purchase price variances and stock movements.
Maintain and improve standard costing, product costing and related ERP processes.
Strengthen financial and operational controls across the business.
Improve finance, administration and operational systems.
Provide useful financial insight to management and operational teams.
Support annual financial statements, audits, tax and statutory reporting.
Work closely with different sites to improve accuracy, efficiency and commercial decision-making.

Requirements

Approximately 5–10 years’ post-articles experience.
Strong financial management and operational finance experience.
Good exposure to stock, costing, manufacturing, production or another inventory-heavy environment.
Strong management accounting and financial reporting ability.
Good understanding of ERP systems and operational controls.
Comfortable working across more than one site.
Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
Able to work 3 days in Krugersdorp and 2 days in Pretoria East.

Education

Relevant accounting or finance qualification.
Completed articles.
CIMA (CGMA) candidate.

Able to work well with both finance and operational teams.

Salary

If you're confident that you fit the role, let's chat! The proposed salary range is around R70,000 per month. The offer will be market related based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
