SUMMARY:
A Freight Forwarder is looking for a Clearing Supervisor to join their team

POSITION INFO:

To manage the customs clearances, for the import and export of cargo within the framework of the SARS customs rules regulations, as well as the import and export control acts.

Clearing:

Fully utilize all clearing deferments within the parameters of good financial practice and maximum utilisation of the Clearing resources

Controlling clearing costs and optimization of staff

Monitoring of compliance with regards to customs

Communicate with import, export and related statutory authorities and customers, in all relevant territories, as necessary to ensure efficient, positive and lawful relations, support and activities.

Staff Management:

Effectively train, evaluate, motivate, delegate and monitor staff activities

Monitor performance (in relevant areas) according to agreed standards and take necessary action to communicate/advise/assist according to performance levels

Ensure staff compliance with regards to company policies

Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges

Adhere to local and external relevant health and safety laws and policies

Process and monitor Customs duties refunds

Monitor Provisional Payment Register

Quality Control process of entries


Matric
Minimum 2-3 years Supervisory experience
